Working Line German Shepherds are intelligent, active, highly trainable dogs bred with the traits necessary to work alongside people. While many can make exceptional active companions, they thrive in homes prepared to provide appropriate training, structure, mental engagement, and physical outlets throughout their lives.

Not every Working Line German Shepherd has the same temperament, energy level, or drive. Which is one reason thoughtful breeding and puppy placement matter so much. Within each litter, we evaluate our puppies individually and consider the lifestyle, experience, goals, and intended role of each family when making placements.

Our puppies may go on to working roles, dog sports, service work, or life as active companions. You do not need to compete in dog sports or work your dog professionally to be an appropriate home, but you should want an engaged, intelligent dog and be prepared to meet the needs that come with one.

Our work with dogs began at a young age and has grown into over six years of professional, hands-on experience in daily care, training, and breeding-related work.

While our breeding program is newer, it has been years in the making, and we chose to begin only once we were fully confident in our preparation and ability to responsibly support each dog we produce.

We typically produce 1–2 carefully planned litters per year and will not exceed three. Keeping our program intentionally small allows us to devote substantial time and resources to each breeding, dam, and litter. Breeding decisions are always made with the health and wellbeing of our dogs as the priority.

All dogs used in our breeding program must complete breed-appropriate health testing prior to breeding. Our German Shepherd Dogs receive official hip and elbow evaluations through recognized organizations such as the SV (A-Stamp), OFA, or FCI-affiliated evaluation systems.

We also utilize genetic testing to identify relevant inherited conditions and make informed pairing decisions. Health results are considered alongside temperament, structure, pedigree, and working ability when planning each breeding.

Individual health testing and certification results are listed on each dog’s profile whenever applicable.

All of our puppies are backed by a written health guarantee covering specified hereditary and congenital conditions for two years, with orthopedic coverage extending to 30 months of age to allow adequate time for official hip and elbow evaluation.

Our breeding dogs are health and genetically tested, and pairings are carefully selected with the health of each litter in mind.

Puppies are placed based on temperament, development, individual strengths, and compatibility with each home, rather than through a traditional pick-order system.

Throughout their time with us, we closely observe each puppy across everyday life, training, novel environments, social interactions, and new experiences. At approximately seven weeks, we also complete a formal puppy aptitude evaluation as an additional piece of information to help guide our placement decisions.

We work closely with each family to understand their lifestyle, experience, goals, and intended role for their puppy. Preferences such as sex, color, and coat are always considered, but the right temperament and overall fit take priority.

Most of our puppies are placed on limited AKC registration and are not sold with breeding rights. Limited registration does not prevent participation in eligible AKC sports, performance events, or activities.

Full registration may be considered for select puppies placed with approved breeding or working programs, including co-ownership arrangements. These placements are evaluated individually and must be agreed upon in writing prior to placement.

Each litter is given its own theme, and registered names are chosen by us to reflect that theme. Every puppy receives an individual registered name followed by our kennel name, vom Noctis.

Registered names are part of the identity and story of each litter and are selected prior to placement. Owners are welcome to choose their puppy’s everyday call name separately.

A call name is your puppy’s everyday name — the name you use in daily life to address your dog.

While registered names follow our Kennel structure, families are welcome to choose any call name they prefer.

We require puppies to remain intact until at least 18 months of age and prefer that they remain intact until approximately 24 months whenever practical. Spaying or neutering before 18 months will void applicable portions of our health guarantee.

Dogs placed without breeding rights must be sterilized by 36 months of age unless medically contraindicated or otherwise agreed upon in writing.

Our delayed sterilization policy is intended to allow additional time for physical growth and skeletal development before elective sterilization.

We recommend planning ahead. Our litters are intentionally limited and reservations often fill 6–8 months in advance, with some planned litters filling even earlier.

Once your application has been approved, placing a deposit reserves your position for an upcoming litter. If you have specific preferences for sex, coat, color, or intended role, we strongly recommend reserving early, as more specific placement needs may require additional flexibility or waiting for the right puppy.

We never recommend placing a deposit simply to secure the soonest available puppy. Our priority is making the right match, and families are always welcome to move their reservation to a future litter if the appropriate puppy is not available.

A $600 deposit is required to reserve a place on our waitlist and is applied toward the purchase price of your puppy.

Prior to the birth of the litter, buyers may cancel their reservation for any reason and receive a refund of 50% of the deposit. The remaining 50% is non-refundable and retained as a reservation fee for holding the buyer's spot on the waitlist and the potential loss of an interested party.

Once puppies are born, deposits become non-refundable except under the following circumstances:

1. No puppy of the buyer's requested gender is available.

2. The breeding does not result in a confirmed pregnancy after a deposit has been placed.

3. We determine that we do not have a suitable puppy match for the buyer.

In any of the above circumstances, the buyer may choose either:

- A full refund of the deposit

- A transfer of the deposit to a future litter.

By submitting a deposit, the buyer acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to this deposit policy.

German Shepherd Dogs — $4,500

Our pricing reflects the extensive investment behind each litter, including accomplished and health-tested breeding dogs, carefully selected European bloodlines, reproductive and veterinary care, and the extensive early development each puppy receives.

A $600 deposit is required to reserve a place on our waitlist and is applied toward the total purchase price.

Each puppy goes home with a veterinary health examination, age-appropriate vaccinations and deworming, AKC registration, microchip, FI Series 3+ collar, puppy starter package, food, and more.

All puppies within a litter are priced equally regardless of color, sex, or individual placement.

Yes. We offer the following courtesy discounts:

Military / Veteran — $250

Available to active-duty, veteran, and retired service members. Proof of service is required.

Returning vom Noctis Family — $250

Available to families purchasing an additional puppy from our program.

Discounts are limited to one per puppy, cannot be combined, and must be disclosed prior to placing a deposit.

For the wellbeing and individual development of our puppies, we do not place littermates together in the same home. Returning-family placements must therefore be from a future litter.

We offer safe, carefully coordinated transport for approved homes throughout Hawaii, the mainland United States, and select rabies-free countries.

Hawaii Families

Puppies may begin traveling inter-island at 10 weeks of age, once fully weaned and developmentally ready.

Inter-island transport is available via the Aloha Air Cargo , and families are also welcome to arrange pickup at Ellison Onizuka Kona International Airport at Keāhole.

Mainland U.S. & International Homes

For approved homes on the mainland or in select rabies-free countries, transport options may include in-cabin flight nanny service, accompanied cargo, or direct airport pickup depending on destination and availability.

Puppies will only travel once fully weaned, developmentally prepared, and cleared to meet all applicable health and travel requirements. Puppies traveling to the mainland may remain with us until approximately 10 weeks of age if accompanied by a human on the flight. . If the puppy will be flying in cargo we will keep them until 12 weeks of age to allow for additional preparation prior to longer flights and a smoother transition into their new homes.

Additional Information

All transport-related expenses are the responsibility of the buyer.

The health, safety, and wellbeing of our puppies always come first. We reserve the right to delay or reschedule travel if weather, airline conditions, routing, or other circumstances are not considered safe or appropriate for transport.

Our relationship with our families doesn’t end when a puppy goes home. We remain available throughout the life of your dog for guidance with training, development, behavior, health, nutrition, and the many questions that naturally come with raising a German Shepherd.

Our puppy buyers truly become part of the family. We love staying connected, celebrating milestones, watching our puppies grow, and seeing the relationships that develop along the way. Many of our puppy families stay closely connected with us—and some wonderful friendships have grown from those relationships.
